Maruti Suzuki is coming up with a redesigned compact model of the Swift DZire after 4 years of launching the entry level sedan and (from what I can see) digital is playing a key role in the campaign whose key call out is (very aptly), DZire Again…
What we see online currently, is the prelaunch campaign which spreads across Facebook, Youtube and Twitter all of which are being used to drive engagement till the actual launch happens.
The Facebook page plays around with the word ‘Desire’ with quotable quotes and short promos asking their 1.2lakh strong fan base to share their life’s desires. This is replicated on Twitter as well.
There is a 2minuter animated viral video on Youtube, which promotes the ‘Ministry of DZire’, an application cum contest on Facebook where you need to answer some questions, write out a few slogans for a chance to win… I am not sure what!
BTW the 'Ministry of DZire' has a browser compatibility issue.
Media reports suggest that the launch is on the 1st of February. I guess I made it just in time for this post!
The Facebook Page already has a Live Webcast tab so I am guessing the launch will be streamed live by Virtual Studio. I will be watching for sure.
