Marico has come out with a new campaign for Parachute Advansed Body Lotion’s new Summer Fresh variant, targeting women, of course. The communication ‘woh pal dobara’ is around refreshing and revisiting moments of love between couples. The ‘What Makes Love Timeless’ microsite talks about 7 ways to recreate those timeless moments.
The flash microsite has a slick look and feel and is laid out on a long scroll. The content around ‘7 ways to rediscover love’, is average, which basically means that users will not be engaged for more than a few minutes and there is no reason for them to come back as well.
The Facebook Brand Page makes better use of the content with prolific, quality posts around the campaign premise and contests.
Marico also executed a rich media campaign last week, where they took over some publisher home pages with simple skinner and OTP renditions.
It’s exciting to see brands that have traditionally been very active offline, taking digital seriously. Hopefully now that they have been on the medium for some time, they will begin experimenting and try different approaches.
